Chaweng Beach: This is the most popular beach on Koh Samui, and for good reason. It boasts fine white sand and clear, turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Chaweng beach is known to come alive on a night time especially at ARK Bar where they regularly host amazing fire shows and sometimes have live music bands playing.
Lamai Beach: This beach is located just south of Chaweng and is another great option for swimming and sunbathing. It’s a bit more low-key than Chaweng, but still offers a wide range of amenities, also including bars, restaurants, and shops. As with Chaweng Beach it is a 20 second walk from the main road where all the bars, shops and restaurants are. Lamai Beach a bit quieter than Chaweng so it’s a good option if you’re looking for a more peaceful experience or just want to go listen to some music through your earphones while gazing upon the stunning views.
Maenam Beach: Maenam is another great option on the island. despite its popularity, Maenam Beach manages to maintain a relatively low-key atmosphere, making it a great choice for those looking to escape the crowds of more touristy areas. Alongside with the beach, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as visit a nearby Buddhist temple, hike to a waterfall, explore the

Bophut Beach: This beach is located on the north coast of the island. Bophut beach is known for its relaxed atmosphere and famous charming coastal village better known as Fisherman’s Village, which is a upmarket area filled with colorful buildings, street vendors and many bars and restaurants, with live music at night.. Fishermans village is also home to a famous bar/restaurant called Coco Tam’s where they have regular fire shows on the beach. Bophut just like the other beaches has a number of amenities and activities actually on the beach or nearby.
Lipa Noi: Located on the western coast of Koh Samui, Lipa Beach is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and swaying palm trees, making it a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas. The waters at Lipa Beach are known for their excellent snorkeling and swimming opportunities, as the shallow reef just off the shore is home to a variety of colorful fish and other marine life. Lipa Noi is also one of the best beaches to watch the sunset being where it is situated. The beach is less crowded than others so it’s a good option for those looking for a more secluded spot. It’s also a good spot for kiteboarding and windsurfing. You can also try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking, which are available for rent on the beach. Lipa Beach can be reached by
car or motorcycle from the main town of Nathon, or by taking a longtail
boat from nearby Bang Po Beach. Despite being somewhat off the beaten
path, Lipa Beach is a must-see for anyone visiting Koh Samui.
Taling Ngam: This beach is known for its stunning views of the neighboring island of Koh Phangan and its tranquil setting. The beach is situated on the southwest coast of the island, and is characterized by its crystal clear waters and fine white sand. Taling Ngam Beach is also particularly famous for its panoramic sunset views. The western side of the beach is an excellent place to catch the sun setting over the horizon and the skies turn into brilliant shades of orange, pink and purple.It is a popular spot for visitors looking to escape the crowds, as it is less developed and more secluded than some of the other beaches on the island.
